MY LAST WEEKEND

Guys, I was back in town from Lucknow, this morning, and had to rush to college immediately. No,not for classes but for the technical fests that are going on in the college now days . I have had quite a busy schedule with all those BOTS programming, fests preparation , and in midst of that i had to go to Hardoi, Lucknow(for some personal reasons) . Even though due to the trip, i lost my chance to participate in BITS(Troika-C/C++ competetion) and BYTES(overnight C/C++ online compe. ) , but comparing the rich and amazing experiences there , i am quite happy now .( hmm.. for bits, - i won it in 1st yr only , so not that much imp for me and bytes - came quite close to winning last time..no regret 4 it tooooo) .

Well for experiences , i can say and write pages and pages on it , but will restrict my self with some posts,on it . I hope u enjoy it as much as i did .

This trip was basically due to some religious reasons(some hawans and Puja) , but as usual this trip for me meant a lot of junk food , inlcuding Tikki, Pani Puri, and Lassi(Yummy,...wonderful taste ...) . I just love these things in Lucknow. I can assure u , if i stay there for a month , i can easily gain 5-10 kgs .

But this time my trip was first to Hardoi(a small city near Lucknow, nani's home) . First day was dedicated to HAWAN(for my sister) , me playing Mortal Kombat(remember that game !) and trying to do some of BOTS(trokia-AI compe.) programming , in small bits and pieces of time i got from my nephews, who were after me to play with them .

This is the Time in Hardoi, when they have an annual Fest(Mela), commonly called as numaish there . So In night i decided to visit there with my family and cute little nephews.Describing the scene there will require a new post,so m ending this post here only. But the real interest starts here. So please visit again .

Be Vegetarian , Save the World

A Poster by Peta Reducing Meat Consumtion can bring down Green House Gas Emissions.Such lifestyle changes and behaviour patterns can contribute to climate change mitigation work. A farmer can feed up to 30 persons throughout a year from one hectare with vegetables, fruits and cereals. If the same area is used for the production of eggs, milk or meat, the number of persons that can be fed varies from five to ten Livestock production accounts for 70 per cent of all agricultural land and 30 per cent of the world’s surface land area . These are excerpts from R.K.Pachauri's article published in Indian Express 3rd dec(or HT 4th dec). We all know the personal benefits of Vegetarian food over Non-Vegetarian(i am not going to point those out here). Now there is another reason to avoid meat -Climate .Have a look at the complete article here :- http://epaper.hindustantimes.com/ArticleImage.aspx?article=04_12_2009_010_005&mode=1 or http://www.hindustantimes.com/News-Feed/rkpachauri/Cold...
